Today has been a pretty difficult day for Cyndi and I. After much prayer and a lot of seeking wisdom from God's Word, as well as wisdom from those Christians who are influential in our lives, Cyndi and I have resigned from Coastal Community Church. Here is the resignation letter I presented to Chris Rollins-the Sr. Pastor.
February 26, 2008
Dear Pastor Chris Rollins,
Serving at Coastal Community Church has been a wonderful experience. I could not ask for a better group of believers to be joined with. As a result I have grown in many ways here and will always treasure the opportunities provided for me by Coastal.
I am writing you to officially inform you of my intent to resign as Youth Pastor from Coastal Community Church effective Sunday, March 9, 2008.
I will be pursuing my passion for missions and desires to reach students in the process on a global setting. While I will miss my friends and partners in ministry here at Coastal, I feel that it is time for a new challenge and experience.
Once again thank you for the opportunity
Best Wishes,
Jeremiah J. Brown
-So where do Cyndi and I go from here? Well, we are staying in Charleston as of right now. I have a few opportunities to serve with missions specifically in Jamaica as well as the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. And so we are in the beginning stages of that-which also means we will begin raising a team of financial and prayer supporters. One thing that I will also be doing is traveling and speaking at churches, camps, retreats, etc. to share the Gospel and mission of Jesus ,to help with this endeavor. If you or your church would like to have me come and speak, or would like to join our team, please let me know!
More exciting news and updates coming soon.

Tomorrow is going to be AWESOME!
Here it is Saturday night and I am just thinking through our Church worship service tomorrow as well as our student gathering for tomorrow night.
Tomorrow morning is going to be so awesome! We are trying some new things throughout our service. I believe this will enhance our worship gatherings, as well as create a more welcoming, more relevant, more outreached focus environment. Also, our missions team will be reporting on their trip to Jamaica. I know Cameron and Twila are a little nervous about speaking but they will do great.
You can check out the highlight video on You Tube- either do a search for PastorJeremiahJB or type in Jamaica...it will come up eventually.
I hope we have over 20 new people! Honestly, I hope at least 10 of them are students. I love visitors, and I love when they see that we are committed to Jesus and His people!
Alright, enough randomness in my head for the night.
By the way check out my friend Andy's blog...he makes me laugh!

I love this series...

Last Sunday we began a brand new series on Sunday Mornings at Coastal...It ROCKED! We are using some of the great summer blockbusters as a hook to get people in the doors to hear God's Word.
The things is that many people in our world today get a lot of their theology/religion/values/beliefs from the movies...SO WHY NOT USE THE MOVIES to get God's message out there?
This week we are using Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
